✦ Who are you?

I’m Artemisia, you can call me Mia or Amia! I’m Brazilian, autistic with ADHD, non-binary, mama of a naughty cat named Panko, and my pronouns are they/nyan. My birthday is February 25th (which makes me a Pisces) and my MBTI is INFJ. Nice to meet you all ~

✧ Why do you translate?

I graduated in Languages and Literature and have been translating professionally for a few years, but I started my translation journey through comics and games as a fan. It just makes me happy to share the things I love with more people and it’s also a nice way to work on my language skills and keep me motivated ^u^

✦ You speak 7 languages?! Which ones?

Yes~ Not all of them are fluent level, but I speak Brazilian Portuguese (my native language), English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Latin. Most of them I learned at school or at college, but it was always easy for me to learn new languages. I also learned a bit of Brazilian Sign Language in college, so I guess it’s actually 8 keke~

✧ Do you accept requests?

As stated in my Terms of Service, unless you’re a close friend of mine, NO, I don’t accept requests. I’m part of many translation projects and I also work full-time as a translator and proofreader, so the time I have for fantranslations is limited. Also, all my translations are kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing, like I’ll start working on something only if I’m in the mood (and have the time) for it. Unless I’m motivated enough to do it, I’ll probably end up dropping it midway, which is why I give priority to my favs and other stories I might get invested in.

Also, please, don’t tell me shit like “you should do more of X franchise” or “you should focus only on Y franchise”, like literally fuck you. As I said, all my translations are spur-of-the-moment, so if my hyperfocus is pending on a specific franchise at that moment, or if something from another franchise catches my interest, I most certainly will end up contributing to it (because I just have no self-control), so don’t try to reign me down, this is my blog and my little guys.

✦ Can I help you?

Sure! I always have a hard time looking for proofers (both JP and ENG) cause I’m usually too shy to ask others to do it for me, so if you want to help me with these aspects I’ll be more than glad >u<

✧ What do I do if I spot a mistake / think you’re missing something?

Just tell me in the comment section of the chapter or send me a DM on Twitter. Don’t be shy, I don’t get mad or embarrassed by things like this. I have an SAT and a CAE in English and I’ve been learning Japanese for a few years, but everybody makes mistakes. I’m always double-checking everything, but there’s always something that just slips my eyes, so go ahead and feel free to call me out hihi.
